About us

Those two hours at the jewelry store are yours, not the shop's.

Highpass is a Portland travel company that plans trips to Peru, with its own team on the ground in Cusco. The complaint we hear most from travelers who've been on other tours is always the same: half a day lost between a textile shop and a jewelry store nobody asked to visit.

  • 01 Zero shopping stops: we don't take a commission from any store.
  • 02 The price lists what's NOT included, before you pay.
  • 03 You travel with our licensed guide, not whoever showed up that morning.
How we work

Five steps in every trip.

From the first conversation to your trip home, with someone who answers while you're on the road.

  1. 01

    Conversation

How many days you have, and what you really want to see.

  2. 02

A proposal that lists what's not included

The itinerary, the price and, above all, the exclusions.

  3. 03

    Bookings and permits

What sells out gets booked first.

  4. 04

    The trip

Our own guide, a pace we agree on and zero shopping stops.

  5. 05

    Return

We're with you until you're home.

Why HIGHPASS?

What you'll find here.

Zero shopping stops

We don't stop at jewelry stores or textile shops that pay commissions. Those hours are yours, not the shop next door's.

We tell you what's NOT included

Entrance tickets, the train, tips and meals outside the plan are spelled out before you pay, not at the counter.

Our own guides

You travel with our licensed guide, not whoever showed up that morning. We know who's with you.

Altitude, taken seriously

We order the itinerary so you acclimatize before going higher, and tell you how far you'll walk each day.

Small groups

We don't run fifty-person buses. In a big group, half the people can't hear the guide.

Support on the road

While you're traveling, you have a number that's answered at any hour, every day.

0 Shopping stops on our tours No jewelry stores or textile shops that pay the guide a commission.
8 Ways to travel Four planned routes and four services that support them.
6 Months to book the Inca Trail Permits are limited and sell out; we tell you so in our first reply.
