Cusco and the Sacred Valley
The classic route, done slowly and without rushing.
View tripAn itinerary that works for a thirty-year-old can ruin the trip for a six-year-old and a seventy-year-old grandparent.
With kids, with grandparents, or both at once.
Back to traveler types
The challenge here is the range: in the same group, someone wants to hike for four hours and someone else needs to sit down every twenty minutes. We plan each day so both have a place.
With kids, we shorten the distances, add breaks and choose sites where they can move around. With older adults, altitude matters most: arriving in Cusco at 11,000 feet hits hard, so a calm first day with oxygen on hand is a good idea.
And if someone has limited mobility, we tell you honestly which sites are accessible and which aren't. Ollantaytambo has long stone staircases, and good intentions won't change that.
Each one is handled by a specific trip or service, spelled out before you confirm.
